Golf Newfoundland & Labrador
Rich with history. Rife with culture. Sprawling with natural beauty. Welcome to Newfoundland, a place with enough coastline to stretch back and forth across Canada four times over!
Be prepared to catch your breath often, as Newfoundland delivers some of the most unforgettable sites on the planet. Ancient footpaths along ocean cliffs. Quaint inlets, coves and bays. Views of whales, seabirds and eagles. And lots of clotheslines!
Your first golf experience in Newfoundland will be at Humber Valley Resort’s River Course, voted “Canada’s Best New Course 2007” by SCORE Golf Magazine. The course, an 18- hole, par 72 championship golf course measuring 7,199 yards, was designed by distinguished Canadian golf course architect Doug Carrick. Its layout gives experienced golfers a welcome challenge yet also provides an enjoyable round for novices.
Several holes of Humber Valley’s holes are played alongside the tranquil Humber River or the shores of Deer Lake, and a number of natural ponds and streams meander through the course. The 18th is simply breathtaking, with a backdrop that rises to an elevation of 400 feet.
Next up is Gros Morne. Nestled alongside beautiful St. Paul's Inlet, right in the heart of Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The resort is conveniently located near miles of sandy beaches, gorgeous coastal and mountain trails, and many of Newfoundland's unique heritage and historical sites. This beautiful, 18-Hole, Par 72 course, with its sweeping vistas of greens framed by the Long Range Mountains, is a golfer’s paradise. While you challenge yourself on this impeccably manicured, championship course, be sure to take in everything your surroundings have to offer. It’s an experience you’ll never forget.
